Robert Azelby has been named president and CEO of Alder BioPharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ALDR). He will also join the Bothell, WA, company’s board of directors. After Azelby starts his new role on June 13, Alder’s interim CEO Paul Cleveland will resume his role as a member of the company’s board.
Alder’s founding CEO, Randy Schatzman, resigned from the company in a surprise announcement in March. The executive shakeup came as the company was working toward filing for FDA approval of eptinezumab, the company’s lead drug for migraine prevention.
